I’ll be honest here. I don’t know what to write about, but felt it was time.
Studying for my Bat Mitzvah is going to be my focus for the month of September. It seems like no matter how many times I listen to the part of the Torah I will be reading, I forget something.
I did finally put together my Bat Mitzvah speech, which was very ungainly to start out with, and seems to have some order and sense to it now.
Yesterday I sat by the creek, beneath some very tall trees whose names I don’t know. I tend to feel more inspired out in nature, and this was no exception. I decided to read it out loud, softly, and attracted a bunch of ducks. They fell asleep. I’m not sure if this is a good sign?
The past several days there has been minimal to no smoke. Hallelujah! It’s amazing the things we depend on-like being able to see the sky, and the mountains. In Ashland, we had about 2 months or more of dense smoke. I’m praying that it’s finally over.
I’m so thrilled to see blue skies, though I know it will become something else that I take for granted once I get used to seeing it again!
